Summer Heels

I'm a little tired of wearing flat sandals all summer long. I've already invested in one good pair of summer heels and after seeing these on sale today I'm happy to add another pair to the shelf. And right after I got them they ran out of my size, talk about good timing.

You can never really go wrong with a pair of Seychelles. I sure did (and still) wear out these little flats last summer. Next on my list: red!

Slipper Time

I'm not a sock wearing kind of girl. Only if I'm going for a run or wearing boots, other than that I'm sock-less or in tights. However, two years ago I made a life changing purchase. Vera Wang cashmere slippers. My feet stayed in them all winter long. Then spring came, it warmed up, the sun came out and I noticed the cat hair all over them for the first time. So I threw them out. Next winter came and I made a new purchase of Vera Wang cashmere slippers. Well this time they were a little different and I thought more resilient to Isabelle fur but I still ended up throwing them out come spring. It's time again for slippers and last this time I want these: J.Crew knit ballet slippers.
I would swiffer my wood floor everyday to keep cat hair off of them!

Back to School Shoes

My lack of blogging can be blamed on getting things ready for my new 4th grade class. Not that I haven't managed to waste time in other ways here or there but most of my computer time has been spent looking at other teacher's really organized classrooms or making classroom job applications.

So after surviving my first day with my 17 (maybe, two did not show up) 4th graders, I just want to look at shoes for a few minutes.

Here are my favorites:

Vegas Shoes

Have I mentioned that my friend Heather is getting married in Las Vegas this summer? Very exciting! The wedding is going to be at night at an outdoor chapel. For the bridesmaids, we are all picking out our own navy dress. Any style, just navy. After looking online and in stores for months I finally found mine at BCBG Max Azria. It's simple and yet a little retro (sweetheart halter neckline). The best part was that it was $80 marked down from $380!

I've decided that for this look I need some fancy shoes. Because (1.) the dress is very non fuss and (2.) it's Las Vegas!

Here's my dream choice. How Las Vegas is that? And Kate Spade! Sigh...a girl can dream I guess.

Heather already has her shoes picked out (they are pink!). I always love cute bride shoes.

I soooo have that red pair in my closet. The teal ribbon shoes I would wear everyday.

Spring Break Itinerary

I actually hate an itinerary. For my spring break I meant to make a to-do list of a few things I need go get done. I haven't really done that yet but I'm sure I'll still manage to get something productive accomplished. At least something I consider productive...

So far all I've done is find some really cute summer shoes. I'm pretty sure I'm going to live in these for the next few months. No size 6.5 in the store so I had to order them...

While I wait on them I need to plant some flowers in my flower boxes, pull up weeds from the beds beside my sidewalk (luckily it isn't as bad as it was last year), and do a lot of organizing inside. But with the temperatures and sunshine all I really want to do is stay outside. More spring break updates when they happen.

Since apparently I'm affectionately known as "the ballerina" at work...
