Snow Day

Isabelle and I shared mostly the same schedule today. Eat, sleep, look at the snow. As I am sure tomorrow will be another day off I just decided to be lazy today. Tomorrow I'll take on some baking and cleaning projects. Probably.

Isabelle and Photo Booth

There are some times when I realize I start to wonder if I take too many pictures of my cat. Tonight I randomly opened Photo Booth and realized most of the saved pics were of me trying to capture her cuteness when she (and the computer) were on my lap. She doesn't get on my lap too often and stay there for long so I try to capture it if I'm on the computer anyhow. I'm sure this won't be the last of the Isabelle/Photo Booth attempts.

Oh, and one of her sleeping on my pillow. Extra cute.

Signs your cat lives in Salisbury

So I'm watching Ace of Cakes on the couch when Isabelle pops up and drops something down next to me. I'm expecting one of her red milk tabs that I recently retrieved from the heat vent for her but I look over and discover she has been carrying this around in her mouth to play fetch with:

I'm okay with the milktabs but feel pretty guilty that she's had to resort to my other beverage trash to use as a toy. She on the other hand doesn't seem to care too much.

She had a cat bed that she never used...

Jon told me I needed to document Isabelle's love for sleeping in odd places and at that very moment she was sleeping in the middle of my crafting scraps. By the time I got the camera and turned on the light she was a little more awake and less curled up to the scissors but it's still nonetheless a little funny. It reminds me a lot of Annie Clark.

Sparkle!

Here is my cheesy "Christmas Tree Post". It had to be done, it's just too pretty. Tonight I was cleaning up my bedroom and spotted my vintage bird ornaments that I bought a few weeks ago. I had nearly forgotten about them. They are perfect and I feel the tree is complete now. I almost felt inspired to listen to Christmas music while I decorated---almost.

And on a side note, how creepy are some Christmas songs? "Santa Baby" especially. Who thinks of Santa in that way? And "The Christmas Shoes" is sadly creepy. It came on the other day on my grandmother's radio and I nearly knocked people over to run to turn it off. I have a cd of a few Christmas songs I can tolerate to let my students listen to. Jackson 5's "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" is always the crowd favorite.

I had to throw in some cat/tree exploration photos as well...
