Of course I'd love these baking displays.

PTA purchases
Hmm...decisions, decisions...
On Monday, another 3rd grade teacher and also president of my school's PTA informed me that if I turned in some receipts to her that I'd be reimbursed for $100 for school supplies.
To ask a teacher if she has receipts is a silly question. I find random receipts of school related purchases that I have stashed away on a weekly basis. And to be reimbursed for school supplies that have already been used up and nearly forgotten about is like finding $5 in your coat pocket. But better because it's $100.
I should use it on something practical but I just keep thinking about these things instead.
High Seas Dress-$138
Sailor Romper-$58
Silky Ruffle Romper- $58

favorite things: kitchen displays with a touch of blue
Maybe I should make Wednesday Kitchen Display Day. I have so many pictures saved up that I need to share! Today I noticed a slight theme which if you know me isn't too surprising. A lot of the kitchens have blue themes. I'm going to try to keep with each kitchen display Wednesday having a theme. Today's theme is just a touch of blue. Believe me, I could do an entire week of these.
A blue refrigerator! An adorable blue refrigerator.
Love that corner shelf, baking pans in windows and that blue vase.
Cute blue bowls.
I have that colander! I'm also noticing blue and red as an occurring theme...

I could sleep here
Large bedrooms are overrated. Why do you need all that extra space? You're just supposed to be sleeping there!
I've gotten over the need for a t.v. or really any other electronic device besides a clock in my bedroom. In my older childhood days and during college it was a necessity so I could watch what I wanted but now having my apartment a living room tv is fine. And really I can go the whole weekend without turning it on. Also, before living here I always had my computer in my room too, again out of necessity. Even still, I've only bought my MacBook to my bedroom maybe twice.
That all said, I like a cozy bedroom.

Classroom Inspired Rooms
As a teacher I'm not sure that I'd want to come home and see things that remind me of being in 3rd grade all day. However, these are cute and unique ideas for using all of my old teaching things if ever this gig wears out.
I have about 3,000 of these around the classroom. Just today I had to tell a student to quit hitting another with them when they missed a problem.

Inspired by 100 Years of Solitude
When I read One Hundred Years of Solitude several years ago I wanted to live in this book, take orange blossom baths, and get lost in a magical reality.
Since that can't happen, maybe this is close enough.
Spring Break Itinerary
I actually hate an itinerary. For my spring break I meant to make a to-do list of a few things I need go get done. I haven't really done that yet but I'm sure I'll still manage to get something productive accomplished. At least something I consider productive...
So far all I've done is find some really cute summer shoes. I'm pretty sure I'm going to live in these for the next few months. No size 6.5 in the store so I had to order them...
While I wait on them I need to plant some flowers in my flower boxes, pull up weeds from the beds beside my sidewalk (luckily it isn't as bad as it was last year), and do a lot of organizing inside. But with the temperatures and sunshine all I really want to do is stay outside. More spring break updates when they happen.
